Claude Booker is founder and president of Simply Southern Sides, a Macedonia, Ohio-based manufacturer of cooked and seasoned, boil-in-bag Southern-style side dishes, created to offer consumers a quick, convenient way to prepare and enjoy down-home classics such as black-eyed peas, turnip greens, mac & cheese, and okra & tomatoes.
A professionally trained chef, Booker is responsible for developing the company’s product catalogue, which consists of more than 28 varieties distributed by foodservice companies and sold to retail customers across the country.
Simply Southern Sides is a subsidiary of Urban Food Concepts, LLC, a minority- and female-owned firm which specializes in the preparation of frozen and refrigerated culturally inspired foods.
Booker is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.
